Parabens
Preservatives such as methylparaben, ethylparaben and butylparaben are used to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold in makeup, moisturizers and hair products.
Although demonised for being potential endocrine disruptors and cancer causing, there is no evidence or research that proves parabens in concentrations used in cosmetics are harmful. In fact, parabens are one of the most heavily studied preservatives and time and time again they continue to be among the safest and most effective.
